This is a kitchen for those tired of choosing between strict minimalism and warm traditional interiors. Carattere combines both: the frame door delivers classical geometry, but without dusty flourishes or gilding. Clean lines, flat planes, no unnecessary ornamentation.
The signature feature is the frame. Not an applied molding, but an integrated door construction where the inner panel is recessed into the profile. It looks expensive, holds its shape for decades, does not dry out. The frame can be flat, or feature a hat profile — a subtle retro accent, but in a contemporary reading.
Veneer comes in four new colors. All ash-based, brushed, open-pore. Cashmere — warm gray-beige. Cloud — almost white, but textured. Capri — greenish-blue, calm, like sea water near the shore. Iris — gray-violet, deep, refined. Changes mood under different lighting.
For gloss lovers — lacquered doors. Available in ultra-matte, almost velvety, or mirror-gloss. Wide palette, from neutrals to saturated tones. All lacquers Italian, multi-layer application, color holds for years.
A particular pride — wall cabinets with leaded glass. An old English technique: glass subdivided into small rectangles by metal profiles. Looks like stained glass, but without color, only light and shadow. Can be installed above the work zone, or as a separate sideboard display on the countertop.
Worktops — steel and wood. Satin-finish steel, does not show fingerprints, scratches invisible, heatproof. Nordic Oak — brushed, deep texture, oil-treated, water-resistant. Thickness varies, custom edge profiles available.
Handles are a separate story. Interchangeable, selectable, combinable. Classic pulls, recessed models, knobs. Finishes: chrome, bronze, brass, black nickel. The style is set by the handles — whether you want severity, vintage, or complete invisibility.
Production — Italy, Pesaro-Urbino province. Hand-assembled, quality control at every stage. Environmental certifications: ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), OHSAS 18001 (occupational health and safety). All factory energy is self-generated — 30,000 sqm of solar panels, 3.5 million kWh of clean electricity annually.
Made in Italy certification from COSMOB and CATAS. Two independent laboratories verifying origin, materials, and workmanship. If it says Italy — it means Italy, no alternatives.
Where to use this kitchen
— Country houses and villas. The English country house style works precisely where there is volume, high ceilings, large windows. Glazed facades with leaded bars, ash veneer, steel worktops — all create the atmosphere of an estate, without pomposity.
— City apartments in classic new developments. There is plenty of housing where architecture demands respect for tradition, yet owners do not want to live in palazzo style. Carattere provides the right measure of formality and ornament, without sliding into baroque.
— International interiors. The model was developed for the global market. It is equally at home in London, Dubai, New York, and Singapore. No attachment to local taste — clean lines and classical proportion are universally understood.
— High-end rental properties. This kitchen does not age visually. Five years later it does not look last season. Veneer and leaded glass are timeless. Premium tenants appreciate such details.
— Non-standard layouts. The system is modular, any size and configuration possible. Narrow long kitchens, kitchens with bay windows, walk-through zones, islands of any geometry. The frame door scales well — not lost on large surfaces, not fragmented on small ones.
— Kitchen-living spaces. Carattere is dressy enough to be formal, yet restrained enough not to steal focus. It works as a backdrop to life, does not shout, does not overwhelm.
Dimensions and possibilities
Wall cabinet height — for any ceiling, including mezzanine sections up to the very top. Standard 240 cm, but custom projects made for specific openings. Module width from 30 to 120 cm, 5–10 cm increments depending on series.
Built-in appliance niche — any. Refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, wine cabinet, coffee machine — all closed with frame doors, creating a continuous line.
Island — can be fitted with breakfast bar, integrated sink, hob, open shelving on the living room side. Island ends finished in same veneer or lacquer, no blind panels.
This is not a kitchen for a quick renovation. It is about considered approach, material choices, long life in the interior. It requires good light, decent ceiling height, and a sense of style. But when these conditions are met — the result looks expensive, calm, and thoroughly dignified.
