This welded wire mesh made of 2.8 mm wire with 20 x 20 cm openings is a practical alternative to manual rebar tying. Instead of cutting rods, bending them, and tying each joint with wire, you simply unroll a ready-made mesh. It is already welded by automatic machinery — all connections are uniformly strong, with no weak spots.
The mesh is useful wherever a reinforcing layer is needed. In residential construction, it is used in concrete floor screeds — preventing the concrete from cracking during shrinkage. For house foundations, garden paths, or parking areas, the mesh adds rigidity to thin concrete layers. It can also be placed in masonry made of aerated concrete or ceramic blocks — every third row with mesh makes the wall more monolithic and reduces the risk of cracks. For small foundations under a gazebo, garage, or fence, the mesh is also suitable if the load is not too high.
Cold-drawn steel provides good tensile strength. The 2 x 25 meter size allows you to cover a large area at once without many joints. The purple marking on the ends helps quickly identify the mesh type among others in the warehouse. Installation is many times faster than hand-tying rebar — the construction doesn't stall while someone ties hundreds of small knots.
