Types of Industrial and Farm Greenhouses by Shape and Block Structure
By frame shape. Arched greenhouses feature a curved roof, wind and sandstorm resistance, suitable for low-growing crops (herbs, seedlings, strawberries, flowers). Gable greenhouses have a straight two-slope roof, maximum interior volume, good air circulation, suitable for tall crops (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, cut roses). Multi-span (block) greenhouses consist of several connected sections into one complex, ideal for large agricultural projects.
By block structure. Single-block greenhouses are freestanding structures for small farms or nurseries. Two-block greenhouses feature two sections with a shared wall or technical passage, saving materials and space. Multi-block greenhouses consist of three or more sections united into an industrial complex with internal passages, unified climate control, and automation. Tunnel blocks are sequentially connected arches forming long tunnels, optimal for mass cultivation of herbs and leafy greens.
